Kwara United Urge Fans to Remain Peaceful, Unwavering Ahead of New NPFL Season

Kwara United have appealed to their supporters to remain peaceful and continue backing the team as the Harmony Boys prepare to begin their 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League campaign.

The Ilorin-based club called on fans to stand firmly behind the team throughout the new season, stressing that their support will be crucial as the players and technical crew pursue their targets.

Kwara United are set to begin their league campaign at home against Kano Pillars on Sunday, August 30, with the club hoping to make a positive start in front of their supporters.

The club has urged fans to turn out in large numbers and play their part as the team’s “12th man”, while also emphasising the importance of discipline and sportsmanship in the stands.

Kwara United’s appeal comes after the club faced disciplinary sanctions during the previous NPFL campaign following incidents involving supporters. The NFF disciplinary committee previously sanctioned the club over the conduct of fans during a match against Rivers United.

With the new season now underway, the Harmony Boys are asking supporters to channel their passion positively and avoid actions that could lead to violence, sanctions or stadium restrictions.

The club’s message is clear: support the players, respect the game and remain behind Kwara United regardless of the result.

Head coach Suleiman Ashifat has also declared the team ready for the new campaign after a 2-0 pre-season victory over Crown FC of Ogbomoso and called on supporters to provide strong backing for the squad.
